 fasteners
I'm looking to purchase 30 of these: and, 30 of these: I've tried Roy, but he's unfortunately out of stock of both of these items at the moment. I'd like to get my hands on them ASAP so when i start to stick the front of the Acad back together they're to hand. Burton stock the J nut, but can't help with the fast thread screw. Any ideas on stockists?

 Re: fasteners
Use the normal fine-thread bolts & clips?

 Re: fasteners
Neil, these any good? < http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-mil-Acme-Wing- ... 1095wt_754 > The points of the screws do tend to be very sharp, so it's best to grind those back before fitting them. On Dyanes and Acadianes, I use these instead of the M5 nuts and bolts on those steadies between the wings and the goalpost, same for the struts between the headlamp bowls and the brackets at the base of the goalpost and even the small stays to the number plate panel, if they're still around. Just as long as you're not tempted to use them for fastening a bodyshell to a chassis... ken.

 Re: fasteners
2CV City provide these with their replacement chassis. Why not try them?

From what I remember having to deal with a 2cv city chassis'd car (won't be doing that again) they are slightly different to what Neil wants, although it could be my memory failing me! (haven't had to remove a Dyane front for ages)

 Re: fasteners
Yup a certain car of my aquaintance had them as well as 4 normal m7 in the corners with 5mm free thread on the nut made a lovely buzzing sound, looked good bit would have been more secure if the assembler had simply stuck them in with "prit stick" rear wings pop riveted on, as well as a couple of self tappers stuck in thru the rear section and into the lower sweeps to keep it all in shape sean
