having just bought and imported an acad from the southern reaches of france she needs a rear fog fitting to pass the mot, question is aimed at you fellow acad owners where is your switch fitted for the rear fog as there are no blank spaces on the dash.

cheers

thats unlucky... you must only just need one.

.....one rear fog lamp which is required to be fitted to the centre or offside of
vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1980....

From MOT website...

carefully drill some holes then file out a slot for a switch? not sure where the switch should be tbh...

Graham, It's been a while since i've had a Dyane, but if my memory serves me correctly the switch for the fog lamp was positioned to the left of the ash tray on it's lonesome away from the cluster of three. I think the warning light was also over that side too...

As Timmy says - maybe cut/file a hole out for the switch which you can half inch off a late 2cv dashboard & drill a hole for the warning light. If you need either a switch or a warning light let me know & i'll see if i can dig 'em out.

Neil.

I've never found the brake-fluid-test button particularly useful, so tend to reuse the slot for that. There's not a lot of space behind the dash to add another warning light into the main row, though.

yes test passed no problems thanks. I fitted the switch under the dash, I didn't fancy dismantling the dash to get behind it. Took the paperwork to the dvla in sheffield today to register it, should take about 5 days to arrive.

Not expecting any problems then.
Jason's is a blue one, really solid underneath and a bit scruffy around the edges but runs well.
Mine is running like a bitch and waiting some nice new spark plug leads to fit the Harley coil. I suppose some spark plugs won't go amiss either as its worked like a dog this summer and been to CZ and back.
