Sooo...quick look at brakes, my 44mm socket would not fit, needed wall turned down. Not having a lathe, this was achieved with a grinder...... Brakes were a total rusty mess with separated friction material...Van has covered 600miles since last MOT......All new bits ordered including a new adjuster. And a wee repair Was on Hols this week and back travelling (work) this week

Re: We have liftoff.....AZU 250 rebuild thread
Does not look much different....but headlight, heat exchangers, exhaust all back on..... old, 2 pedal assembly extracted and new 3 pedal assembly installed. new accelerator cable ordered. Existing choke cable seems to be about 25mm short, ( i assume due to different carb arrngement between 435 and 602.. Spent many happy hours searching for small bits I removed months ago. Handbrake wingnuts for adjustment......spent hours looking for them....and the bumpstops, spent days looking in every corner before I found them....already on the chassis !!

Re: We have liftoff.....AZU 250 rebuild thread
Some progress yesterday.... Been looking at the wiring, of course I didn't take any pics when dismantling, and I can't find a wiring diagram that looks anything like mine.... Anyway, managed to work out the coil wiring, soooooooo.....why not throw in some fuel and see what happens ! Found a small funnel and stuck it in the fuel pipe, poured in some petrol I found in a can, (no idea how long its been there....). Next, find the key I put "somewhere safe" nearly a year ago! Located the key, switched it on, and hit the start button. It cranked and immediately coughed.....Promising ! A little more cranking, some fuel directly down the carb and it fired up , even idled ok after a while .... Happy days !!
