Post Re: BMW 2cv engine conversion
At the age of 47 I entered today a BMW dealership for the first time in my live....

Going to the parts counter ordering a rockercover seal (simular to the 2cv one), a seal for the sparkplugs and a new oilfilter... Did you know that the prices at the Original BMW/dealership a lower then on fleabay, I coudn´t believe it....

The guy behind the counter smiled when I told my story (putting a Beamer into a 2cv) and he wished me good luck...

Yesterday I welded the shared off aloy in the heads so now I can mount the rockercover again...

Last weekend I´ve also made a 1-2-Spark for my Beamer, with Petrolpump connection and 2 coils....

So next I need some oil, connnect the 1-2-Spark, take a big drill to prop the engine and see what happens.... can´t wait.....

We can't wait either. Where are you going to find a drill that powerful?

Gutbuster drill would do it. Probably beyond your average aldi 9v battery job though.

What am I looking at there!?
That's a pic of the flywheel boss mounted on the gearbox... Then another pic of a/the boss mounted on the front of the BMW engine with a flywheel attached to the front... With a plywood adapter template you are going to mount a starter motor on to crank it over!?
Fark the boss, use these!

My quote you are using in your Sig applies here! 8-)

It's the rear of the engine, apparently the engine is the other way around on the chassis to be able to mount the boss and flywheel.
