well it sounds from what i can make clear is 123 is not the best option,

not to be taken as in insult by 123'ers

i think ill stick with my coil for now, but get new ht's soon, they look a bit old.

as for the points etc postman pat looks like he will bring them tomrow !

A bit less saving needed if you shop around http://www.2cvstuff.com/2CV_oily_stuff.html. Vic Moran currently claims that there's approximately a two week wait but they are half the price and have been specially made for A-series use with a red line from 6000 rpm.

ahh i see :)

i was also wondering
im considering starting a new topic about my leak problem, as after speaking with other 2cv'ers they have had the same leak in the same place and the same amount of leaking, so i want to start a post with it all in, is there one there and has anyone got this problem? as ive sorted my leak out and no more wet feet when driving :D, before i start yet another! post??

i dont think it would suit a 2cv that gauge and i fancy one with a needle :lol:

done points and timing, wasnt to difficult,

not self explanitary though if im honest!

my old points had arced across,
and where earthing

my dad said ishould get increased fuel economey (well decreased fuel usage) is he right or wrong!? lol

If your points were earthing the car wouldn't run. The point make and break the supply to the coil, no make and break, no spark.
