Now Geert I think when I really let this engine run (with the exhaust as it is now) you can hear it over at your home.....

At 50 Km distance?

Heres a little secret from me... I'm using the inner half of a bearing here, it makes a nice flat surface to connect to the engine. Perfect fit to the exhaust gaskets...

Next the double Dutch 2cv engine mounts (2 x 2 engine mounts)

It feels very very stiff, I think it will do the job

Because I have no flywheel at the moment I put the 1-2-Spark sensor and pickup at the front beltwheel

Trimmed also the adaptorplate to almost its final shape...

One thing I'm saving before I can start the engine... I need to weld some aloy valve cover
bolts housing..... After that it's new oil, filter and fire it up.....

Your a master of your own universe Geo, I luv the independent thinking. The bearing surface is a perfect application.
With the engine suspended at the front I imagine you will need a secure gearbox mount to stop the engine from doing front somersaults on heavy acceleration.

First. You are thinking in the wrong direction....... it will do somersaults on heavy braking,
when accelerating it will be pushed furhter into the backmounts...

But I thought about that too, I will weld 2 washers (M10) to the (back) gearbox mount, to catch the gearbox bolts just like a Mehari 4x4 (backdiff) has too....

Here a close up from my own 4x4, I hope you see what I mean "welding the washers to the engine-mount"
