Next question then; do they have to be balanced. The local tyre place say they can put tyres on for me that I buy elsewhere but their balancing machine needs a larger centre hole?

If it does need balancing which I presume they would for *cough* 70mph trips up and down the M1, where would people suggest taking it?

They dont NEED balancing

but if you feel vibration or wobble at about 60mph find someone who can do it

I've yet to find someone who can balance them, but if you move them around I've found there is usually an arrangement where they don't seem to wobble so much.

you can balance them yourselve using a sphere with a hole drilled through a piece of string and a few weight's and it's not really a difficult job

Currently prepping a house for tenants, moving house myself, returning to work after six months off my feet and setting up a business so anything other than 'drive to ... and give them money' is a little out of my league at the minute.

Must ask Janice where we keep the spheres in our house. I can never find one when I want one.
