Noice.

I need to find out if the i can use an exhaust vaporizer here in Oz, but i doubt i can;(

I just read on Cats site about using the Fuel pump as a water pump, cool idea but a shame it didn't work.

I am still seeing if it is possible to use Engine Oil, this is what i am thinking:

Modify the oil circuit on a Visa like Andre from PP does,

Then in place of the original oil cooler position fitting an adjustable pressure valve (spring, screw & ball-bearing) running to the Vaporizer. This would allow the oil circuit free flow with a controlled amount, 20psi, running through the Vaporizer, which would also cool the oil.

Also an oil cooler thermostat plate can be used to greatly limit flow to the oil cooler until the oil reaches temp, which would prevent the vaporizer from icing.

I just need to find out what Pressures the vaporizers are rated to and if i is allowed by law...

The problem with that is that the oil is very slow to heat from a cold start - as Citroen found out on early GS engines. They quickly moved from having the oil heating the carb "hotspot" to running exhaust gases through it, like on two-pots.

what's the problem with watercooling?
It's very simpel yet effective.

When an oilpipe breaks youv'e got big problems, when a waterpipe breaks your engine shuts down,

guess what I am going for!!!!

My 2cv also runs on LPG since 1998 - it was a problem to invent a water heating system for the gas but now it's working properly.
I'll try to post some photos of that circuit which also uses a water pump like the one shown on the pictures.

Thx Vitor I would be good to see the pics of your water circuit.

LPGO, whats it like starting on gas? i read that a lot of Vapor injection cars start on petrol and don't switch over until the coolant is up to temperature. Has it been ok starting it in cold weather?

Cheers

MY 2cv starts correctly on LPG - I've even forgotten I can run on petrol!
As for the photos I've already tried, but I wasn't able to post them here.
I can send them to your mail, if you want.

Starting on petrol is only to to let the petrol system run for a moment, to keep the injectors, pump regulator from blocking (old petrol).

I've never had (starting)problems with LPG. Lowest temp. -25 C in a DS
I had 2 DS a CX (normal way with no lpg injection) and now the 2cv first normal way and now with injection.

With injection you need almost no warmup enrichment!!

My next project is to make my CX turbo GTI "85 on LPG. same as the 2cv.

At the moment I'm making a extra oilcooler in the turbo 2cv oil is getting very hot.
