 Re: 1-2-spark
@JamesWallace, a rusty pickup can't be the reason, when the problem occured did you have the laptop connected then?? or where you just driving along??? As Saurus says look to all wires and connections and look if they are correct..... Look to the VR sensor wire, if something is wrong there..... When iddleling on points, does the 1-2-spark yellow led flash?? does the red eror led come up (not good) Can you hook up the computer and look if your numbers are right..... please try to give more information..... @ Saurus, I have my wires throwed into the enginebay, and it is working for over 2 years now.... but you are so right...... @ Harley I pm-med you, my streetname is like my..... it isn't that long..... Hope your package will arrive........

 Re: 1-2-spark
Was it running ok before you started tweeks? Have you altered the dwell by mistake? or rev limiter?

 Re: 1-2-spark
Nope and nope
There was lots of exhast popping etc back firing
It was fine before i tweaked the advance but didnt do anything untoward.
Thats why i tried geo's table just to see
I tried for 10 mins adjusting it by advancing and retarding. Nothing i could do would help.
Mark if you read this can you send me print screen of my tables from that day we played with the car ..?
Cheers
No idea why it did it. Dwell etc was un touched
Maybe cos the engine was warm after 2h driving ..?

 Re: 1-2-spark
Please check your dwell anyway, (and other pages as well)......
Engine to warm can't be, when warm the only thing happens that it pinks/knocks earlier.....
When you run on points, and 1-2-spark connected to the computer is the rpm gauge ok or are there eratic spikes visible???? please check...
Please check also if the sensor is about 1mm from the pickup......
