Post Re: Single point injection
Hit the jackpot yesterday..........

Bought from http://www.marktplaats.nl (sort of Dutch flea market) an KDFI for €100,- (normaly €249,-) and a brand new Techedge 2j1 wideband lambda probe with gauge and LSU (profesional stuff) for €150,- (normaly €275,-) and the realy good thing is, it was only a 40km drive....

Just tried everything and it works great.......

Post Re: Single point injection
Today I made the second KDFI to work in my car, the former owner did a terrible job soldering everything together and he didn't use insulation (Glimmerscheiben) at the cooling bodies so the ignition section of the board had a major shortcut, I think thats why he sold everything because it could'nt work the way he soldered it together (impossible that he had a spark)
he wanted to use it to fire a 6 cilinder beamer ;) ;) ;). So I ripped of several coil elements left only two so I can use it for my CX turbo also (in wasted spark) like the original is too..........

As Roy pointed out in the Cool Videos thread, Fuel Injection on a 2cv is now even easier and cheaper:

I will download the (trail) software and will throw an eye over it  I've already seen they do CDI ignition, I personly don't like that........, like tci more (2cv = tci) mopeds are cdi.....

That's interesting, I looked into CDI ignition for my setup as it is a more modern tech which gives greater spark and cooler coil, although even I get worried about adding another box of magical fairies ...
I ended up going with Ls1 truck coils with inbuilt ignitors, these offer the most bang for your buck and only require logic level (5v) control from the ecu .

The ecotrons efi system is very cheap, looking at it I would probably look at a better fuel pump, regulator and filter, with these parts you get what you pay for.
It can even do basic traction control ;) and it's water proof !

This is the company behind the small engine ecu's; Freescale. Lots of techno gadgetry there :ugeek:

Some videos of 2cvs running on there Injected packages.

Using there 38mm throttle body would make for the simplest/cheapest single point efi conversion...
I don't think it is worth getting the CDI ignition with options like 1-2-spark now available.
