Didn't Geo advise against vjaning it back? I think you'd be better off kdupputising it forwards.

Vjaning is good; kdupputising is good too. Just make it work propertlikopski well and your the man........

@Jameswallace please take a look at the settings-tab, there a maplagfactor this is the one which smoothens the mapsignal, Please take a look if it is around 65, when not put it at 65 and see if it runs less rough then.....

Then let your car idle and look which cells he's using (yellow cells) then put on all the same advance for instance 15 then it should run smooth....

Did you drive it with the maphose connected how does it drive??????

Sorry, but I'm a guy who loves to connect his laptop to his 2cv... just for fun and because I can..... but I guess your right......

I don't mean any offend anyone here as this is obviously a very clever device that I'm sure will have it's uses but it seems to me to be a bit overly complicated for a 2cv that is used in normal conditions. I have a modern car and the first thing any mechanic or AA man :( does is plug a laptop into it but this doesn't seem right for a 2cv somehow. If it's broken I just want to mend it with a hammer and a spanner not fire up the laptop.

Just my two pennies worth.

One thing I have learnt about 2cv people since the creation of I2F is that when it comes to ignition systems, everybody is 'right'.

Let me tell it this way, a regular 2cv fits a regular ignition, but when you want more, turbo, several coils (twinspark), supercharger a.s.o. you can do only with electronics.....
If you want your 2 2cv to be more fuelefficient you can do only with electronics

Yes really need programmable ignition to run turbo or supercharger, but if you have followed the story so far you will know that everyone who has fitted 1-2-spark has reported improved fuel economy, now that can't be a bad thing can it
ps any news on the replacement for visa sensors Geo?

Ok will do that
And it runs ok on idle at 15. It was something like 25 before i think
Maybe my idle is too high? About 1100

Will check settings tab

Yes drove with map hose connected. Drives nice. Just need to learn the sound of a 2cv engine pinking so i know for sure the limits

In mine (with regular ignition) it was a quiet but also distinct sound easily heard over the noise, like walking on dry leaves or something like that, fast crackling sound.

Exactly so... ;)

With the 2CV's twin cylinder engine, the crackling isn't as rapid as on other engines.
Unless the timing is a mile out.
