 Re: Toyo 135 tyres
In my opinion, if you can't afford Michelins, the Toyo's will do but they are a compromise.

 Re: Toyo 135 tyres
Taskos, 'everything' in engineering is a compromise and in the case of which tyres you decide to use it's a balance between the performance of a particular brand of tyre and its cost. I used to fit Firestones to all of my customers cars and now use Toyos. So far, nobody has complained about how their car behaves with either of those brands fitted, or how long they last, or how much they cost... Many of the owners are not Citroen club members and for most of them, their 2CV or Dyane is their only means of private transport, with some of them covering around 15,000 miles per year. I have a feeling they'd laugh at me if I suggested that they really ought to buy Michelins at 3 times the price of Toyos. ken Taskos wrote: Soooo... To sum it up , are they any good or a compromise? Re: Toyo 135 tyres
I think I'll try the Toyos to replace my Mabors. After all its just a poor old small outdated car.You cannot ask much.

 Re: Toyo 135 tyres
In these times of austerity if they weren't so long out of production i would say they are decidedly in-date again

 Re: Toyo 135 tyres
I can safely say I've had more enjoyment from every 2cv, Dyane and Ami than any Ferrari I've ever driven - they're designed for Swiss bankers. Tyres are bloody important - knackered or crap ones are often the cause of accidents - but if good ones are going to bankrupt you then drive slower and expect less from cheaper varieties. I'm using Toyos - they're good tyres for £35 - and wish Michelins were £50-60, I think they'd sell loads at that price. FWIW, I always try and have a pair of Michelins on the back (can't afford them on the front as well) since the round X-sectional shape works well with large angles of heel and low axle weight. dave 411 wrote: I've Toyos on my car, used it since last May,everyday, and I cant fault them. Am I driving my car incorrectly? Should I be cornering on two wheels? I am obviously missing something here.My Special has Michelin 125's on it,and yes,its slightly more comfortable, but at the end of the day,ITS A FRIGGING 2CV,not a Ferrari What are they supposed to do in the wet, stop turning?
