Right I've found someone to bore out my barrels so if I just get some visa pistons can i just whack them in or do i need visa heads and/ or all sorts of other stuff? And will it give me what I want?

Don't bore your barrels out, the 602 suffers with seizing/partial seizing as is, it'll be much more prone as a 652. (Apparently, the 435 never suffers with seizures, as there is much more metal round the bores).

The Visa uses nicosil plated alloy barrels which need something different about the piston rings, I can't remember what it is though and may even have imagined it. Have you trawled cats, there's lot of info on this sort of stuff there.

I don't really think that's a fair statement really, but thats beside the point.

Harry - if you find a whole engine it will fit without modifying the body. This AZU I saw at the weekend had one fitted - it would happily do 140k, which given its a van is pretty damn impressive:

Note the block in the top left corner, the chappy said that the computery bit is the hardest thing to get working. It does magic stuff with ignition and... stuff...

His only mod was putting the light bar on upside down to clear the front of the engine - I thought that was clever.

Also, look up Team Biodeuche on Facebook - they were at Snet and will be racing at Spa. The engine in car 66 is a 2cv block with Visa pistons/barells and visa heads. It develops 16:1 compression and 64bhp at 8000rpm  Enough power for you?

Also, that AZU is running 400mm rims, apparently that helps maintain a higher gear ratio, a bit like Joolz with his 80 profile tyres. Oh and Team Biodeuche use a standard 2cv box.

Mind you,
you'd need to run almost pure ethanol to cope with that compression ratio, plus convert the engine to fuel injection.
