Re: 2cv with smart turbo intercooler.
Sounds and looks like a great car, well done!
one more thing, with the MP gass injection, are you running sequential injection? or still wasted spark with original ignition??
cheers Harley

Re: 2cv with smart turbo intercooler.
It's not running on sequential, because my flywheel has the 36-1 pattern into it so the ecu doesn"t know if cil.1 has to ignite/inject or cil.2, im running wasted spark with the original black coil.
I just changed my megasquirt, when my engine starts to boost megasquirt will tableswitch.
I just did a quick test today; run without a good map but it boosted because the dumpvalve comes in when I release the throttle. (I hadn't a laptop connected)
Only 2 problems, the oilpipe to the left cilinder is leaking much oil, so I have to change the copper rings and the alternator has a shortcut so I have to fix that to.
Try to make a video and foto's in the weekend.

Re: 2cv with smart turbo intercooler.
THIS IS IT!!!!!!Work is (almost) done, today for the first time driving my 2CV Smart TURBO intercooler lpg/gpl!! I still have a few things to do, making a windcatcher for the intercooler. Iv'e made a watertank to cool the turbo down and to heat up the LPG. evaporator The windscreenwasher container fits nice on top of the watertank. A broken oilcooler gets a new live as a water-radiator, today the highest water temp. was under 30 degrees Celsius. fully loaded The exaust is made of 2cv pieces, first a heatexchange pipe of a 2cv witch fits perfectly to the turbo, then 2 pieces of the first silencer to end in the original pipe befor the second silencer. By the way the engine is very quiet, maybe I remove the second silencer so I can here the turbo whisling. A stabelizer is holding the front of the intercooler. The air-inlet is from a moped from my son, it is to small but it was the only thing I could find.

Re: 2cv with smart turbo intercooler.
Well here is how it drove.......... (first time with turbo) You know the car has a programmable ECU so I first have to learn the computer the new situation read Turbo. When you drive of the car it is a little slower then a normal 2cv, but at about 2750rpm boost is comming in and yes you can really feel the car pulling away. The only thing for now is that I could only do that with half the throttle but it is faster then a normal 2cv. There where a few problems: -Turbo boost didn't go higher then 0.5 bar -Car didn't response on full throttle and boost. - Car starts haevy knocking (igintion to early) under boost. So when I came home I've changed the lenght of the waste gate and i'm now busy to tune the maps ignition and injection. Tomorrow a want to travel 500 km with the car Here you can see a datalog from today's ride As you can see the max boost was 0.5 bar (152 kpa) Here you can see the turbo starts to boost at 2750 rpm MAP>100....

Re: 2cv with smart turbo intercooler.
Here the first video for a quick impression how it idles, revs and accelerate... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfOfg7I_1VAboost 0.8 bar its running quit good when warm but cold it's a nightmare, I have to do some serious tuning. I going to make a fixed camera-position and make some real video's soon.
