James, you'll never get 70,000 out of any modern compound tyre on a 2CV. I get 20 odd thousand from Michelins on the front and no more than about 35 to 40 at the rear.

Toyos are fine. I had them on the Ami and there's nothing whatever inadequate about them. And at £35 a corner ... well.
The argument that they don't handle as well doesn't really hold water for me. Since when do all of us drive absolutely on the limit at all times? I didn't drive the Ami - or any of my many A series motors - like an old woman, but neither was I right at the ragged edge of the grip at every corner. I certainly never noticed the handling or the ride or the braking performance or the wear levels or anything else to be anything other than absolutely fine on Toyos.

Speaking of rubber enhancements, anyone tried those vibrating cock rings from Durex yet?

I remember some years ago when a GP car ( no F1 back then) was sponsored by Durex, the commentary at the time was by the great Murry Walker, who quick as a flash said 'I believe they have some special rubber compound'

Condoms are well expensive, nothing you can't make yourself with cling film and a jubilee clip for much less.
