Post Re: 652's??
dickie dawes built the engine in the acadiane its 10-1 compression means that it does pink slightly unless i use high octain fuel then it goes like the clappers. im not sure what he did to it and he fitted a light flywheel which i have changed for standard as it was shit uphill but quick off the line. this acadiane quick mind so not really that fast but better than standard. cracking engine

slightly off topic but don't want to start a new thread for a quick question, ken or sean ;)

is there a difference between 8.5:1 and 9:1 pistons, is it the barrels that are different?

can i fit different pistons in different barrels eg. 9:1 pistons in 8.5:1 barrels

Barrels are the same, yes, you can use 9:1 or 8.5:1 in the same barrels. I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago ;-)
