Which is why I 'roughed it' and used Hammerite smooth on the running gear! Take it down to clean metal, kurust or similar, etch prime, Hammerite (2 coats) and finally one good coat of that 'Underseal with added waxoyl' stuff was brushed on. If it goes rusty now it deserves to.
