Anyone have a picture on how the muff to a aluminium grille is fastened? The original way, I might add ;)

 Deffo cosy & warm .... ;)
What with last night being the first time I've driven my 2CV since this colder weather arrived ....I'd actually forgotten how cosy & warm a 2CV is in winter....[and that lovely homely smell of "warm engine" wafting in through the heater pipes :D ....find a way to bottle it and I'll buy a dozen bottles just for starters ;) ]

Just taking a look at some information for the C4 and came across this mention of a 'Grill Screen' that Citroen recommend is fitted to the front of the car when temperatures drop below 10c  Sounded familiar

Jonathan,
as that old saying has it, 'there's not much new under the sun'.

http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/radiator-blinds.htm

I'm fairly sure that there was a cable operated radiator blind on the old Rover 75 which saw me through a few years at Uni, as well as a freewheel and enough room for 70% of the basketball team squad 8-)

I had a Volvo Amazon, briefly. I found out long after I sold it that it had been the original Volvo demonstrator car back in 1962, and it was fitted with every concievable extra. One of which was a roller blind behind the radiator grille, operated by a chain pull on the dashboard. :)

Just found this

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C213677

on the internet. I sold it for £650 and the bloke rang me up the following day complaining about it blowing its head gsket on the way from Wolverhampton to Brighton, among many other things he'd discovered about it. As I remember, the advert I've linked to had it up for around four grand ...
