 Re: Jumping car?
OK... update...
shes got a dodgy ignition barrel! one of them that throws the wires off!!
she said the wires had come off! so either someones been trying to tamper with her ignition while shes been away... or theyre the suspect ones that jump off!
anyways shes on her way and alright now!

 Re: Jumping car?
From experience with condensors - they do just suddenly go. Massive backfires, spitting flame from exhaust etc. Easy fix - we were carrying spares and talked the yoof from the breakdown company through the procedure.
KT, your probs don't sound terminal - just ignition system related. ECAS for spares. Get yer spanners out and have a go.
BTW stick with cider, it's the future!
Ignition barrels cause all sorts of probs. Nellie was a bitch to start on the key. Hot wire, and she started no problem - as the chavs who nicked her found out!

Not as much of a twat as I was this morning, when I caused my 2cv to pop and bang, and smoke a lot...when I filled it up with diesel! Massive Fail! Glad yours is sorted - as was mine, after I'd sat for ages draining the diesel out into plastic cans. Expensive mistake!
