Had a look
Phoned russ for some guidance. Cheers russ

Theres vertical play in the KP. SO not enough shims??

Still cant understand how it was perfect after i did it, and now after a few drives it has vertical play

It does also have play side to side but not that badly

Do you maybe need one of the oversized kingpins that Viking does if there's side-to-side play?

EDIT: When you say side-to-side play, I assume you mean in the kingpin itself, not the bearing.

Side to side play both wheels
Was 100% perfect pre mot. Off skde wheel all i did was grease and that was it

how much vertical play 0.4mm was the service allowance?
because the dustcap can be out of shape or have a flash where its stamped or if one of the bushes protrudes ever so slightly, it all feels tight but once youve battered down the road itll settle. You also need to make sure that you havent caught and broke the bronze bearing
