Re: How do I know a crank is any good? The other head was looking pretty good, no erosion in the chamber, plug hole thread ok and other than being coated in thick black gunge it was sound. Then, like a clumsy fumbling idiot I damaged one of the pushrod tubes. I can't see if I've penetrated it but it looks like I probably have.
I might be able to rescue the valves, and the casings. This hasn't been a fruitful endeavour.
