Maybe the camshaft could go into the 2CV Racing Club's Kent regrind lottery?

if the grooves in the tops of the valves are still nicley rounded with no sharp edges then youve got a set of collets out of it, oh and some nuts and bolts every cloud eh?

I've got another block with crank and cam in which has been sitting minus heads in the damp for the last 4 years, I'm sure it'll be fine, I'll open that up tomorrow.

There's another late 602 in a box at the bottom of the cupboard in the corner, it might be more accessible if the Mehari's in your way - help yourself.

Is that the one I gave you when we cleared out my garage? The other one is well buried.

The other head was looking pretty good, no erosion in the chamber, plug hole thread ok and other than being coated in thick black gunge it was sound. Then, like a clumsy fumbling idiot I damaged one of the pushrod tubes. I can't see if I've penetrated it but it looks like I probably have.

I might be able to rescue the valves, and the casings. This hasn't been a fruitful endeavour.
