i once fitted a set of BP to a Dyane and they were ok - might have been luck! "P" denotes protruding electrode once id been made clear on that ive always used b7hs without problems. Skimmed barrels may mean that the room for error is even less. but any contact would have been obvious.

I have always used BP6HS on both my Dyanes 9:1 and 8.5:1 compression. Never had a problem around town or flat out on motorway. Just last week did 400 kms straight at around 5000 rpm all the way. When I asked my local trader for B6HS he said no for A series - BP6HS. Maybe French and Italian petrol is ok for BP6HS (never driven in UK)

same number same heat range perhaps the P plug just reaches further into the bowl of the piston ive always thought the plugs were a bit shrouded on A engines.

The 2CV is running very nice now, reset the ignition this weekend, made things even better.
However, yesterday it started emitting a very low (and actually quite awesome) grunt, only at full throttle. I've never heard this before, it doesn't blow around the exhaust joints, I think the exhaust note has changed a bit over the whole range, but only at full throttle it becomes a really deep sound. So did my first silencer suddenly develop a hole or what? Or maybe this has to do with burning off all of that oil and shit that was left in the exhaust, after the huge amount of oil it consumed before?

Is it induction noise? Check the airfilter pipe etc.

Yes it was, now I know how to make this sound when I want to :D My air filter box was repaired at some point, and the lid is held down by a bolt, which came loose after some 1400 km.
