Yes,
'duckwhistle' is a very good description, although you'll probably have trouble getting a note out of it. ;)

If you can be bothered, don't bin that part, as I'm recycling them for a little project with Dyane rear lights...

Went out to the garage at dawn.

Plucked out the relays and the diode. Ken PM me your address and I'll post you the diode.
