Back to trims; Ecas are perfect fit for strait pipes made for the pipe size, although they are deflectors, and quality made but they are top money, other aftermarket ones, like found in 'millautos' for example, might look good for a year and be 'strait' but often rust quickly and fitment is poor...simple screw isnt what i call call secure.

but briefly back to exhausts (Sorry) fitted my new side exit exhaust, the beast sounds like a beast.
the car is a lot more nosier, and at the same time I think i noticed a slight increase in the cars power (might of been physiological after reading justint's comment about more power, but you never know ;) )

Unless you fucked about with silencers then it should be the same power wise?, and tail pipes sound better (my opinion, obviously)

You made a spelling mistake that I always make and put physiological instead of psychological

might have! To be honest though, I was more amused by the idea of the car being nosy! ;)

i wasnt going for more noise, it didnt excite me there was more noise, i dont really car how it sounds, i didnt like how the tailpipe sounded before but it never bothered me to change it just prefer the side exit plus the cab wont fill up with fumes through the shit seal on the boot lid

There hasn't been a change in sound. You might be hearing it more, because there's a more direct path from tailpipe to ear, but externally it'll sound identical.

The seal on the bootlid deliberately has gaps in the bottom corners - to let air out. If you made the cabin airtight, then turned the heater on full, the engine would overheat, because the air pressure inside would rise until no more could be pushed in, so no flow over the cylinders, and no cooling. Oh, and the heater would be useless.

I don't think a 2CV would ever be airtight even if the boot lid seal was perfect. Flappy doors, side window gaps and a hood held by elastic bands plus various body holes.
