Sorry for my English it is a little wobbly, Nothing against German Gays, Guys. I'translated it to see what I did wrong, so I don't know if he is gay honestly but he is German for sure.

 Re: Single point injection
When you take a KDFI, you got do to ignition first, otherwise you have to change (solder) the KDFI to use the original 2cv ignition signal. Take a triggerwhee,l a Swiss gay! (ups I did it again) guy toke a 36 toothed bicycle sprocket behind his fan to trigger the ignition. Or drill 35 holes in the flywheel (1 hole free this is the start signal for the ECU) this is what I did. Don't start with throttle bodies, you don't need them for better millage, start with the original carb with a tps (throttle posotioning sensor on it). The 2cv carb is really good. Please take a good look at my video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oEY5LSovEIat 1.58 min. you can see the adapted plate to the carb with the tps on it. The only difference is that my car runs on LPG (my name is Geo) =LPGO so I've got LPG injectors (the red things in the video) instead of petrol injectors. My speed went up from 105 to 120kmh on LPG injection

You'd have to be careful to somehow key it to the crank, though, else you'd have to re-time the fan precisely every time you cleaned the oil cooler. A bit easier on a four-pot, though, since you could fix it to the cam belt drive. Cheap, too - £13 - but would you have to be careful about getting a steel one, rather than ally, for the magnetic sensor to "see" it? Re: Single point injection
wow, that 123/carb looks an interesting and very tidy bit of kit... shame there isnt any more information about it.

toomany2cvs wrote: The other thing you'll need, as well as an inlet air temp sensor, is a coolant temp sensor - slightly trickier on an air-cooled engine - cylinder head temp is the usual source, AIUI. I've got a CHT sender from a '70s US-spec D-Jetronic VW 411, needs to be fitted into the head fins somehow, but not sure I'll use it - you can get ones that just screw under a plug thread. Setting the cold engine enrichment (think "pulling the choke out") is part of the mapping process, same as the injector durations etc, so the precise temperature-to-resistance curve doesn't really matter unless you're trying to use a pre-existing map.
<thinks> You could just use a variable resistor as a manual "choke", of course... I used a Buell CHT sensor screwed into an aluminium plate then grub screwed between head fins, works great. You can't use the Thermocoupler type sensors that screw under the sparkplugs with megasquirt, they have the wrong resistance, anything is possible but very diy, i use one simply as a gauge for engine temp.
