Take a look at the first post I made in this topic, it is a Turbocad drawing (I don't like Autocad) well I'm sticking to that drawing up to now.. All other details I do on the fly....
As you know I do have a milling machine since a few months, but I don't know how to use it right and I don't see the need for it at this moment. I'm sure my gearbox is lined up properly to the engine and that's all which counts for me...
The only thing which is worring me is the steel adaptorplate is still skewing/warping?? (can you believe it 6mm) I guess a 12mm aloy plate would have been a better choise.... but I'm to far in the shit right now... So I make the best out of it....
I still can straiten things if neccecary when welding the seam along the outerline of the adaptorplate...
Another thing I noticed is the cooling down of the carbs by the vapourising petrol when the engine is running so I need to make a
connection from the exhausts to the inletmanifolds, otherwise I think the carb will freeze...
But I have some ideas for that too....
Let me tell you another secret... Take the backmounting of the gearbox. I don't attach it to the middle of the axle (standard 2cv mounting) No I make a beam (L-profile 50x50x3) from left to right and make the attachments near the axle mountings just like the front mounting of a rear-diff of a Mehari 4x4
That way there will be (almost) no stress at the frontaxle and there will be less reaction of torque in the engine/gearbox..
Hope you understand once again what Í/m trying to explain...
Thanks anyway for your interest, I think I will need 2 monts from now to drive away in my beamer 2cv..
As for now ít is going into my '51 2cv (need to check with dutch regulations) but should be possible..
So it will be 500kg/100hp, so to me these are very sporty numbers
cheers Geo..
p.s. please send some pics of your configuration....
p.s. If you want to try your new gearbox feel free, I can guarantee you 100hp on the crankshaft or more (with 'twin-turbo').....
Can't wait to do a dynorun with it....

I made a promise to myself to do that.. I never did with my turbo-2cv (because I don't bother for me it feels like 65hp+ and yes I know what I'm talking about) (I can also verify that because I had more then 1.5 bar of boost which means theoreticly about 75hp)
but this time I want to shut thoose mouths who don't believe....
