Re: Ignition key My steering lock has been disabled and it's never ever been tested on an MoT. You might be asked for insurance purposes if one is fitted.
By the way is this a 2cv or Dyane type lock?
If it is the standard 2CV then the barrel is held in with a pin inserted from the top which means removing the assembly to drill it out.

That sounds promising. I think I'll put it on hold for the moment as I have fitted the alternative ignition switch. I experiment with my broken 2CV one when the Bedouin is on the road.
