Hang on a sec...
I just received some oltcit brake seals from Romania...
Oltcit and Axel are the same right?
I can use GS seals in my calipers, I didn't realise these might be dot5.
I'm 600miles away from them at the moment but will be back on Monday.
Cost of postage across the creek and they are yours.

Yep. "Oltcit" was the brand name used in Romania, "Citroen Axel" in France. Same car.

Yeh, Axel was DOT brakes, same as Visa etc - but front brakes otherwise identical to G.

They aren't identical, Axel uses ventilated rotors, as a result the calipers must be wider, but the diameter of the pistons is indeed the same as GS(A)

The calipers are widened by a little spacer fillet that goes between the two halves. I've got a couple in the garage, next to the brand new Axel vented discs, for the Mehari...

Sorry - I got them on eBay a few years back, discs and fillet together.

Funny. I was talking to Kit about these today. Did you get them from him (on ebay) Adrian?
I had the spacers made for his and my Ami Supers a few years ago. I got the Olcit/Axel vented discs from a company called "Brake Engineering". They had several sets in stock at the time. They were in England somewhere but I no longer have their details. I fitted mine when I put the 1299cc lump and GSpecial ratios. Kit never got round to fitting his and sold them on ebay after selling his Super. You also need longer caliper bolts of course.

Yes, it must've been. I had a feeling they were from Kit, but wouldn't have sworn to it. Thanks for confirming it.

Unfortunately doesn't look like they still stock the discs: http://catalogue.brake-eng.com/index.php

What am I doing... got about 100bhp (probably slightly less, but maybe more once I get some forced induction) in an Ami that I hope to do track days in, normally brake temperature isn't too much of a problem in a 2cv, experience from racing shows that, however with the extra speed I might need dot5 brake fluid in order to keep them from boiling.
