 Re: 2-1 exhaust
I have one of these but is a little bit too load. I am thinking of fitting a second silencer to exit at the rear, mini RC 40 back box, cherry bomb or has there been one of those vortex tubes fitted to a 2CV? Expensive but supposed to increase power and economy by drawing the exhaust gases out.

 Re: 2-1 exhaust
Vortex exhaust can double your power output, if you combine it with special spark plugs and a race air filter, you could even triple your power output

 Re: 2-1 exhaust
fitting the 2 RC40 silencers (smaller round & bigger oval shape) brings the noise right down. I have these on my AZ with 602 engine and that exhaust is not noisy at all.

 Re: 2-1 exhaust
In belgium i have seen the side silencer replaced by a simple Renault 4 exhaust pipe. So only on e silencer left. It wasn't much noisier and they said it was a bit faster...but no guarantees on that

 Re: 2-1 exhaust
Put in a turbo, that's the best silencer you can imagin.... my turbo runs without any silencers at all and gives at least two times the original power-output

 Re: 2-1 exhaust
Thanks, I have welded a bigger end on to the old walker cross box to allow it to connect to the larger diameter swan neck and big long stainless silencer which is side exit. I've temporarily taken off the 2 in to one section until I figure out how to quiet it down a tad. My wife thought a rocket was taking off when I drove off at 6am!

 Re: 2-1 exhaust
This is what I did. I bought two hotdogs and cut off the ends and joined them together, they are steel wool packed, not glass. I added a flexible joint. side exit. it was loud at WOT, BUT, that was induction noise. Once I fitted the Dyane type cool air induction from the fan cowl it became very acceptable. Harley
