Can you technical boffs take a look at this part on Franzose and see whether it is the the same as what I have above. I think it is but will need to buy the complete kit.

My advice is to stay well clear of that reproduction kit. The bearing likes to cut serious groves in to the diaphragm blades. I recommend to keep your old pressure plate and thrust bearing but replace friction plate only. I may have a good used (good meat on and no oil)

Let me know

Isn't that what we tried to do on mine and it didn't work? Or was my pressure plate totalled too?

My pressure plate is fine - it is just the disc itself is covered in oil. When I changed it out for the new one two weeks ago ( which didn't work) I used some wire wool to try and clean off the old one before putting it back in. It drove ok although my gear box didn't let me go far.

But now i want to change it out properly and get rid of the oily one.

I suffer from CRAFT disease ( Can't Remember A Fucking Thing) Sammie. Need to go through the books to find out what we did.

A few years ago when my boxer BMW bike dosed the clutch with hypoid oil,I dropped the frictn plate in boiling water with a large does of Ariel bio washing power, having cleaned off as much as I could with solvent and gave it a good scrub then left it to soak,it worked for me
