i measured the dynamo and it gives me 2volt at high rpm. I think it should give at least 13volts, isn't that right ?

Update - Bought a new battery today. Its now starting fine. However, my wipers are still quite slow. I don't think its my imagination... They usually speed up a little bit when you rev the engine. They don't. :?

Have you got a voltmeter?!
You cant gauge whether the battery isnt being charhed properly by slow wipers, for all you kno it could be a partially siezeing wiper motor or spindle slowing the wipers down

Buy a decent multimeter, you can pick up a sealey one for about 35 quid and itll do everything you would ever need it to do!

Hi James,
14.4 volts maximum.

Too much can be worse than not enough, as it may cook the battery.
