pavlos,
if the accelerator pump lever is 'lazy', that's something which often happens with cars which have not been used for some time.

The solution is to spray WD40 or similar onto the accelerator pump mechanism, then grab hold of the lever and work it by hand about 10 times.
You should be able to feel pressure on the 'inject' stroke and very little resistance on the return stroke.

Yes . If it stays open then the car cant start. I dont know why but the car wont start if it stays fully open .

Anyway mine does more than 5-10 sec to return . So it must be the spring...!

Ken it seems strange that when it is off ( with the solex still attach on ) it looks that has a smooth move in the housing.

This behavior is changing when i am pluging it on the carb. It seems like the pump itself has a problem .

I did spray it but it didn't seemed to help. On the begining (before i even start the car for the first time after the replace of the pump) it worked well enough. But doing some km around my house then the slow return come back again.

No Tasko i dont mean the butterfly. It seems to wrok well too...!

This is just an idea, I don't know the inside of the carburettor very well. If the accelerator pump lever is not stiff, maybe there is a valve that allows the accelerator pump chamber to be filled, and maybe this valve is sticking closed so the pump has trouble sucking in new fuel...

Or am I talking bollocks?

Joolz,
certainly not b@l@x, since there are 2 ball valves in the accelerator pump circuit and if the 'intake' one is sticking...

So that means that the carb need some cleaning ? Whanever i tried to save me some money i am paying the triple later on with this car....!

That is why the fuel filter before the carb is empty all the time ...!

ANyway i ll post some photos from the present situation of the carb.! And i ll buy some cleaning add to put in the tank,.

And maybe this has to do with the fact that the 2cv never felt bellow 8.5l/100km with the last measurement at 9.5l/100km.

And i was blaming the ignition timing for these numbers of consumption.

Thanks guys once more.

I cant find words for say thanks.

Tell your 2CVs that they just earneed a free parking here in greece .
