That would be great.Isnt the casing cast?Can you drill and tap the tie rod ends?

I have a carbide drill, for the tough bits, which I have used for the rack and the tie rods.

If its done this way, you dont need to take the wheel off, to do the greasing.

Any casting is likley to be forging and even if it were, it'd be cast steel so it can usually be cut drilled and welded without any worries un like cast iron which is a completely different kettle of fish.
