I've got one little 'tip' relating to setting the tappets.

If your finding the idea of taking off both wings and rocker covers a bit daunting, and that maybe setting all four tappets seems like too much work for one day, or perhaps it looks like it might rain some time soon, or whatever, then it's quite possible to do one side at a time.

With the rocker cover off, rotate the engine until the valve to be adjusted is fully compressed. Now carefully rotate the engine one full turn, this will have rotated the camshaft half a turn, and guarantees the lobe to be opposite the follower.
