 Re: carpeting inside a 2cv
Why don't you draw round your shoes on a bit of carpet, cut round the line and glue it to your shoes? Hey presto, that warm soft carpety feeling every time you put your shoes on, and it needn't end when you leave your car.

 Re: carpeting inside a 2cv
I used to have a set of tailored 2CVGB mats on top of the rubber in my rhd 2CV's and Dyanes. Ever since I've gone LHD, I've not bothered. That's the best part of 12 years, and I've not felt the need to improve on the quality feel of rubber underfoot. If I drove bare foot regularly I'd consider it, but as I'm mostly shod in sturdy boots I'm not inclined to dig out the Axminster.

Very "VIZ" I'm constantly changing my mind about which is best, rubber mats or carpet & I think this week, I might try a bit of both. I've currently just got rubber matting (tailor made of course) but may employ some identical pattern carpet for a cosier & quieter feel. I have found the matting good for spotting if I've got a water problem, so once I'm confident the car is water tight (if that's possible ) I'll look at some carpet.

 Re: carpeting inside a 2cv
at the moment ive done away with the rubber matts while its winter time, cos everytime it rains the water comes in, and goes inder the matts and then just sits there, so ive got these small tesco value matts, rubber, and everytime it rains i wet vac the water out, and then it can air and dry properly , ive also got two damp trap silica gel type things in my car too
