 Re: Narrow headlight bar ?
I chopped my bar down to the smaller dimensions, and at first I wondered whether it had been worth the trouble as the difference is very subtle, so much so that many wouldn't notice at all. After getting used to how the car looks with its shorter bar though it's surprising how wide the standard late bars now look to me.
A very worthwhile mod in my opinion, as for some reason the 2cv just suits the narrower bar look somehow. Even though there doesn't seem to be much difference at first, you will come to appreciate that difference once you adjust to it. I don't know why more people don't do it.

Quite fancy having a narrower lamp-bar on my car, I agree it looks better.

Got one in my garage I did a while ago, you've reminded me, I might put mine on sometime this weekend, I think I did it too short though

Griff, if you've still got one next time I'm in the area, then yes please. In the meantime... let us know how you get on Wiltz. If you fancy knocking a couple up I'm sure you can flog em on.

 Re: Narrow headlight bar ?
You've chopped you light bar down, Old Nail? I hadn't noticed... Did you do this yourself? Weld it all up an' all? I'll have to go through your blog again...

 Re: Narrow headlight bar ?
I can't weld as such, but a couple of spots to hold the bar straight again isn't really welding is it? I don't know why those that restore 2cv's don't put them back to narrow bars, I'm sure there's a market for them, they just seem to look nicer.

 Re: Narrow headlight bar ?
***sigh*** another thing to consider for my restore (Also thinking of vintage 'cheeseburger' or 'bullseye' style rear light clusters so's I can get rid of the less-than-desirable 'modern' 2CV units. It'll be a right mish-mash...)

 Re: Narrow headlight bar ?
Is there realy space enough between the headlights and your bonnet or is it scratching all the time when opening or closing it.
Now I read this I think to myself what the f"ck, a scratch more or less, but anyway.
