 Visa engine cowlings
I'm sure I remember seeing a posting about someone finding it difficult to fit 2CV barrel/head cowlings to a Visa engine, (although someone else said they were exactly the same), but I can't find the thread. I'm now trying to do the same thing (and having the same problem) and wonder what the answer is. Or has someone got a spare set of Visa cowlings they want to sell me?

 Re: Visa engine cowlings
they are different! don't exactly know what, always used the original ones. I tought the visa ones were slightly bigger (bigger diameter of cilinders and of course the 'inboard' pushrods)
greetzzzzzzzzzzzzz

 Re: Visa engine cowlings
2 problems fitting Visa barrels to 2cv housing.
1. barrel diameter is slightly bigger then hole in 2cv housing, you need to grind/mill it to fit the bigger Visa barrels.....
2. Visa barrels are including the pushrods in the barrel, so no use anymore of the rubbers..... and the engine housing need to be straigt all the way down which need to done at a milling machine (to do it correct)
p.s. my opinion;;;; there is a slightly offset when putting Visa pistons barrels to a 2cv housing so the compression is lower so overall power is the same as with a 2cv engine.........
I think this needs to be done profesional, to do it right.......
ps. 2 the Visa pistons don't like high revving (over 6000rpm) because they are very heavy......

Thanks lpgo, but that's not what I was asking! I have a Visa engine without the head/barrel cowlings. Does anyone have any spare Visa cowlings?
