So, the voltage across the headlamp is 12V whilst the battery voltage is 14-point-summat?

What does the battery voltage do while the indicators are flashing (and the headlamp voltage goes from 12 to 13-odd)? Does it just remain steady at the 14+?


(Ok, I'm not sure what the answers to these Qs will tell me, but I'm hoping Ken will know... )

for some reason i didnt check it across the battery, i was in a hurry to leave the workshop so literally tested across the headlights and then left! if any of you are Peter Kay fans, you'll understand the term "Uncle Kn*bhead" we'll i seem to have acquired one of these in the form of my dads mate chris who's the most annoying "i think i know absolutely everything about everything there is to know" and "my air compressor with all its bells, whistles and adaptor nozzle end thingys is the best thing since man invented the wheel" that kind of person...

and well when you've just bought an alternator off ebay and the first thing he manages to do is completely destroy the thing in a matter of minutes... he's not exactly your best friend..

so i don't like to hang around long when he's up there!
