 When to replace brake disks?

All disc I fit are stamped with 5 mm

There's the problem, Brits getting the short end of the stick once more. :roll:

Mind you, those discs which had 6.3mm were at the bottom of a stack of discs and have been there for a good while, so are probably at least 5 years old.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I'll add new disks and pads to my 'to do' list whilst the the body's of having new floors and sills. living in London I rarely use the D*lly at the moment (it's at home in sussex!) and it's drum brakes all the way for 2cv events this year ;)
