Post Door Surround Rubbers
I am trying to refit the door surround rubbers to newly painted aks400 doors.

The old rubbers were removed prior to painting.

Previously when we did Harry's car we used shower gel to slide them back in with but one pair of hands that is proving difficult.

Any ideas?

I had thought of opening up the channel but the I am left with the problem of trying to press it closed some how!

Post Re: Door Surround Rubbers
Hi Norman,
I replaced all the rubbers on my 2cv recently, not any easy job,but very do able.I used a small electrical screwcriver to push the seal into the channeling, dry, maybe used some silicone spray every now and then.No need to open the channeling, just on the ends where it was bent over to keep the seal in place.Remember to bend them back.
It did take a long time and is oh so boring, but well pleased when finished :)
