Yes... and there is no other solution on AMI if you want to fit in a GS fan. On my observation of space available under the bonnet.

Do you know what I have been wondering though? When I bought my 2cv the seller said that he had never known a 2cv to be so warm from the heater. After I bought it I agreed. Within two miles it was very hot inside, not warm - Hot. When I rebuilt it I did so much to make it quieter, with sound deadening on the bulkhead and so on, yet now it gets only warm, not hot.
Do you think...? O.N. I have heard the same from previous 2cv owners I know. They said that their cars was hot, not warm, but hot! Well my Dyane has never been hot, just warm and the pc fan helps, no doubt about that, but still it is not a Sahara summer inside! I don't think, that you putting Bitumen on the bulkhead is going to change that, besides preventing heat from the engine bay parsing through the metal sheet a bit. But! Have you also tried to make it more wind/ water tit? If so that could be the reason. Just as important to get as mush hot air into the cabin, just as important is it to get old used air OUT of the cabin again, so a air vent in the trunk, behind the numberplate eg. could help to keep the air flow up. I know that a 2cv from birth, not is especially air tit, but if you also use a thermo-top instead of the hood, that will make it more tit.

Re: opinions on inline 12v heat blower fan
Our 2cv is just so HOT even in Denmark during Christmas below 0. After 20 mins of driving, the heater cable is turned to reduce the HOT air. If the shrouds around the cylinders heads are intact, the air flaps inside the heater boxes are working and set correctly and heater hoses sealed properly I'm sure most cars will produce plenty of heat. I never felt any need for fitting a fan, only servicing the above, Voila problem gone.

ken wrote: shans, ace advice, wish you'd dropped this on us back in November before the UK went into Arctic mode. There's still time to get the old Dyane kitted up for the remainder of the Winter, mind you... ken Sorry Ken and you are welcome DK has just come out of arctic mode and the temp is now above zero, so it is time to work! Find a fan with as high capacity as you can with in the dimension 92x92x25/35 mm as you can, and it will keep the flow constant. Regards Soren
