so how can i get the tow bar lower down from the bumper? looking at pics of other cars, there a bit lower?

Seriously James, don't take this the wrong way but you're asking a million questions and putting problems in your way. Paint the bumper and then refit the towbar if you must, but if I'm honest, the towbar would have to be so close to the bumper you wouldn't be able to get a tow hitch on it to stop the bumper coming on and off. What holds a bumper on? four screws and maybe a couple underneath? then what? the bumper comes straight off, you might have to move it about an inch away from the mounts but that still means the towbar is too close to the back of the bumper. If it's close to the bottom of the bumper, leave it, it'll be fine.

painted what i needed to, all done, no need for bumper to come off until i need to paint it one day :D

im just going to leave it, i think it will hold the bumper on a bit more if anything

i have an original chassis

also the fitting was dead easy!!!

and tow bar its self isnt close, just the frame is pressed against it,

and i think twatting the bumper wouldnt be enough ;)

If you've drilled your chassis to mount it, make sure there's lots of underseal round the holes.
