Post seats
I´m trying to reconstruct my 2cv seats (not the original ones but the ones I took from a Clio) but I don't want to use foam and tissue.
Instead, I'd like to cover them using a kind of net (hammock?) which would allow me to feel more comfortable when the weather is hot and sweat is all around...
Do you know how to find this material? Is there anyone here who has already made such a transformation?
Thanks.

So basically you're taking out the 2CV seats, putting in Clio seats, and installing a hammock on the Clio seats mimicking 2CV seats?

Vitor, do you still have the original seats? If so, any mileage in stripping them right down to the bare frame and doing exactly what you suggest - cover them in hammock material a bit like the very earliest seats? By hammock material, that could even include literally the 'string vest' material used in garden hammocks :)

They might need some padding over the front tubes so's the backs of your thighs don't take too much punishment.

(Thinking aloud. Is thinking allowed?)

I gave up the original seats a long time ago.
I really couldn't stand them any more.
The point now is to find the right stuff/hammock to make them comfortable and not too ugly...

Get in contact with Flappy - either via a PM here or through his blogs, http://flappy2cv.blogspot.com/ or http://randeuch.blogspot.com/

He's retrimmed the seats in his 4x4 2cv using plastic strapping, like a garden seat. They look great, they're comfortable.
