My 4 x Maxxis have arrived. :D

I have a leaking rim. The inside of the rim has not grown with rust, so I thought I may try cleaning it up and sealing it inside where the rim parts join, with seam sealer.

Any thought?

Nah just replace it.

Isn't the valverubber the culprit? Replace the one first. The old one cut of by a cutter the new pulled in from the outside, we used a clawhammer but you must have a cap on the valve to have someting to grip on.

I don't think it is valves.

When I first bought the Bedouin, the tyres wouldn't hold air for more than a few days. I took two wheels that were not holding air to a fitter to reseat the tyres on the rims, and they still went down. I painted over the outside join of the rim halves and re inflated, and the paint bubbled where air was escaping.

Obviously, the air will push the paint off and not seal. Thought it may seal if on the inside and forced into the gap.

Worth a try I guess. :D

New tyres Michelin 125 R 15, made in Serbia are rolling in my 2cv.
The ones I had before were made in France. Can you spot any difference? ;)

One of the front wheels is tubeless, the other needs a tube since the rims are not in good shape. Can you see any problem? The car drives normally...

As long as there is no wheel wobble or vibration, it would work for me. :)

Maybe it's just an impression, but I find them harder than the previous ones... ;)
