 Camping ventilation
Hi folks! I use my 2CV as a camper. I had a plan of building something similar to the "ESCH" this winter, but it failed, I did not have the time. So, going to Portugal with my normal setup. Normal 2CV with a bed and a boot-extension. On previous trips it works great, and I sleep with the front windows open. But I would like to have better ventilation. With the "ESCH", people put in a caravan roof top window. That would bee the perfect solution as you can open them and they even have a mosquito net. But I don't see how I can mount that sort of thing on my car. Maybe if I replaced the rear window with acrylic, and mounted it there? But I think it will be to big and bulky maybe. So instead I'm considering something like this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Solar-Powered-Caravan-Boat-Exhaust-Fan-Vent-SunVent-S-Steel-Day-Night-Battery/231744588624?_trksid=p2047675.c100623.m-1&_trkparms=aid%3D2220072%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20161027085944%26meid%3D16b70eabe7b34c82b6b35610e541add2%26pid%3D100623%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dag%26sd%3D231515518380It says it can be mounted in ANY angle, and in a glass window. So maybe put this in the back window, or the rear side windows. I would love to hear any other suggestions/ideas on ventilation for sleeping in a car!

 Re: Camping ventilation
Can you not just open the vent flap a little!

 Re: Camping ventilation
No beans The vent flap is always open at night. But both the vent flap and the front window are at the front. I think there would be better if I also had some sort of vent in the back, to allow the air to circulate. Spain and Portugal can be quite hot in July/August.

 Re: Camping ventilation
Ha! Taskos, that open rear window was interesting! Not sure whats going on there, but will study my car too see if I get how they did it. Kinda works if it rains too, if opened just a little.....
chevrons2, yeah, I know about that solution. I'll consider it if I don't find something else.
