Engine oil, tire pressure and tickover speed
I've got a Haynes manual (which always seems to have mistake no matter what vehicle it's for), a service manual I printed off and the owner's manual. I've got some conflicting information. This is the 600cc engine, ~ 87 model.
1) Haynes manual says to use 20W50. Another manual says to use 10W30 (winter) or 10W40 (summer) and yet another manual says to use 15W40. Which is it? The temperature here varies between 27F/-3C at night in the middle of winter and 95F/35C in the daytime in the middle of summer.
2) Tire pressure: One manual says 21 PSI all way around and another says 21 PSI (front) and 26 PSI (rear) and 29 PSI (spare).
3) Tickover speed. I have yet to find this information. I hooked up a tuneup tachometer which is spot on and got 700 to 800 RPMs. Is that about right? Reason being the engine sometimes stalls when cold (but not often) and the engine sounds like the engine speed could be bumped up a little bit. I may not be leaving the choke pulled out enough. I usually shut it off at the foot of my driveway then take off.
But you would think if it's 29C outside, I could shut the choke off once the engine starts.

Re: Engine oil, tire pressure and tickover speed
it's an over-cooled engine so it needs a bit of choke. I always put the choke back if i can drive an reasonable distance on full throttle. With the choke shut off the engine will warm up quicker. We don't use psi overhere. But normally 1,4 bar front, 1,8 rear and 2 in the spare .

This is a copy of a sticker that was placed on the driver's door next to the door lock handle on all 1980's 2CVs.

Never used choke - just blipped accelerator and cranked - even in -15c - tyre(tire) pressures are 20psi front 26psi rear although can run a little higher for better fuel economy if your anal!

I didn't say original, I said a copy. I just didn't point out it's a poor copy.
