One of the first things I do when I get a car with points is to convert it to electronic ignition.
Here in the US, the most popular system is the Petronix. I've installed these on American Fords and they have been reliable. Very easy to setup.
They make systems for other Citroen models (with distributors) but don't list one for the 2CV.
Usually a Petronix kit will sell for around US$70.
I installed a system on my Trabant which was an absolute pig to get setup. This car has two sets of points and two ignition coils.
It took me 5 attempts to get it working! The instructions being in German did not help
First the on board 6 to 12 volt converter burned up (which is not covered under warranty) before I could even get the car out of my garage! Ended up wiring it to my 6 to 12 volt converter for my radio and other circuits.
Come to find out the magnetic thing that slides over the points lobe has quite a bit of variation. So the engine was trying to fire at something like 10 degrees after TDC instead of TDC.
To make matters worse there are no timing marks on this engine. I guess because the crankshaft can work it's way out of phase because it's pressed together. So you have to find TDC yourself!
Hopefully the 2CV won't be as hard to setup. I watched a YouTube video and it seems simple enough.

I don't want to sound cheap but $300 for the 123 system seems like of pricey. Well compared to a $70 Petronix system which would work just as good if they made one.
Any recommendations?
