Post Popping and spitting
My car has decided to pop and spit when letting off thr throttle on overrun. I've checked and adjusted points and timing and tried to check for exhaust leaks but still seems to be doing it any ideas what to check next?

did you 'really' check the exhaust.
Even a tiny leak at the front clamps can cause this.

A 1 metre length of windscreen washer tubing cannot be described as sneaky, but it is very effective for pinpointing any exhaust leaks.
Tip originated from Roy @ ECAS.

It shouldn't be necessary to go to this extreme... ;)

I carry 1m of garden hose in my Ds for just that!
I get weird looks standing over the engine bay with the hose pushed into my ear!

check for the leaks at the manifold block and also inlet manifolds into cylinder heads by spraying brake cleaner or WD40 around them when engine is running - revs will drop noticeably if you have a leak....
