The amount of splines does not mean it fits, you also need to check the different profiles of splines used, old valeo catalogues (maybe new too) are very useful.

More research!

Cluch sizes are often written 180*125*18*20.6
=
Outer Diameter: 180
Inner Diameter: 125
Number of Splines: 18
Spline Outer Diameter: 20.6

So I discovered that...
Kia Pride clutch is:
Diameter: 180mm
Number of Splines: 18
Spline Inner Diameter: 17mm
Spline Outer Diameter: 19.2mm (others state 19.1mm)

Pug 206:
Outer Diameter: 181.5
Inner Diameter: 127.4
Number of Splines: 18*1.0583*37.5°
Spline Outer Diameter: 19.5

SUZUKI ST90
Outer Diameter: 180
Inner Diameter: 125
Number of Splines: 18
Spline Outer Diameter: 20.3

Citroen C2
Outer Diameter: 180
Number of Splines: 18
Spline Inner Diameter: 118.3mm
Spline Outer Diameter: 20.8

Can anyone measure an A series input shaft for me please!?

Cheers,

Harley

Yes, I've been looking at how to calculate the spline pitch, do you have access to an old valeo catalogue Roy?

I have measered an internal clutch spline:
20mm od
18mm id
Or within a bees dick.
Each top and bottom of spline is close to 1mm

Cheers

I have followed your lead and come up with this info:
    Engine Code A06/635,M28,M28/1
    Transmission Type Manual Transmission
    Transmission Type 4
    New Part
    Hub Profile 18x17,8x20,3
    Diameter 1 [mm] 160
    Diameter 2 [mm] 160
    Version CP
    Number of Teeth 18

No other Citroen 180mm clutch has this profile... they are all 18x18,2x21 :-(

I'll keep looking though!

I think I have found it...
Clutch kit R1166N
Clutch plate dimensions (mm): 180 x 18T x 20.3
I can't find the smaller diameter of the spline listed anywhere but it has to be close right!?
Found on 1.0 Ltr Suzuki F10A engines from 1980-2000, $AU133 Kit delivered...

Guess i'll try then return it if its the wrong spline!...

I checked splines today

so it is like this

2cv 19 9mm od spline +or- 0.05
Ax saxo 20.1 so small but 0.2 difference is enough for non fit!

can't you just rivet an old 2cv centre boss (Valeo) on to the friction plate of choice?
