Just to clarify, as it deserves a response, we never aimed to compete with 2cvgb, they are a club for people in Gb who pwn 2cvs. Just as we never aimed to compete with the Ami club of france, 2cv club Huppel or any other club. The fact that when we started this the three of us were members of 2cvgb is of no consequence. When we started this forum, we wanted to try and create a place whereby it didn't matter which club you belonged to or which country you're from, as long as you have an interest in 2cvs. There isn't, that I'm aware of, another 2cv web forum that isn't aimed at either a specific club or country. except Snail, which is purely for 2cvs customised in a certain style.

I'm a 2cvGB member, but I don't use the forum, I kept having logging in issues. I have joined Snail, but rarely log on, it's I2F for me

Surely we won't be truly international until we're disliked by the national clubs/forums from all countries.

Although I seriously can't see why Snail would dislike us, most of what gets posted here would be considered 'junk crap' over there.

No, I can't see why the massive dislike, but shortly after we started up we sent emails to any 2cv club/website adress explaining what we were and inviting folk to join. Somebody on a Finnish 2cv forum posted it and one of the Snail admin had a massive rant about it saying we were only for English 2cvers and that Snail was the true international forum. I don't have a problem with them, I still use it from time to time. I'd have thought they'd be glad of a place they could send all the people who joined them posting pics of their 'junk crap'
